In-between child and adult, the subjects of these images are just into double digits in age, the oldest children at junior school, yet to deal with the onslaught of hormones. They oscillate between playful children and obstinate youth.

Traces of childhood are still visible in he downy facial hair and the soft curves of their features. The look to the viewer is of what is yet to come, the homogenised gaze of the teenager.

These images are printed small and are from an on-going series of 10 and 11 year olds.
